     March Theme

 

I can check in on others' feelings.

 

 

 

Our class has been working on a class charter, which is a an original guide that will assist in fostering healthy relationships, safety and a conducive learning environment for all members of our class community.

the students brainstormed words that describe how they want to feel in our class.  we talked about different feelings and upon student discussions, our class selected these special words to describe how they want to feel when they are in school.  

We then shared ideas about how we can succeed in feeling this way.  The students talked about what makes them feel happy, excited, independent, safe, respected, comfortable and awesome.  We then thought about the actions we need to take to ensure these feelings while in class.  

Each student signed their names in agreement that they will work together to make sure that we follow our class charter while in class.
